Jean-Marc Lazzari: Chief Executive Officer - Phoenix & Paris
Axway Chief Executive Officer, appointed by the Board of Directors on 22 June 2015, Jean-Marc Lazzari joined the company to put the finishing touches to Axway's strategic project update and steer its implementation at the head of the company.
He is an established "Corporate entrepreneur", working with technology start ups to major divisions of international groups, and will use this solid experience to step up Axway's development, speed up innovation and keep the Group ahead of the game in the ever-evolving middleware and digital business market.

I will bring to its teams, customers and shareholders 26 years of experience and my firm belief that I can put in place dynamic and effective operating practices to move forward a company that owes its success to solid commitments and values."
Jean-Marc Lazzari likes to explore pastures new. Jean-Marc is a business leader and innovator. An established player on the international and innovation markets, he was successively Vice President IBM Business Consulting Services EMEA West Region, General Manager UNISYS, President of CGI/Logica France, Executive Vice President SFR and then Advisor to the President at Sopra GMT.
Patrick Donovan: Chief Financial Officer - Phoenix
Patrick has played a key role in the company’s acquisitions in the U.S. or Europe and brings a strong track record in this domain. Prior to joining Axway in 2007, he has held several positions as a finance executive at different International Technology firms, leading all aspects of finance, accounting, legal as well as merger and acquisition activities. He started his career in public accounting as a public company auditor for a large international public accounting firm.
Patrick is a certified public accountant in the State of Colorado and earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accountancy from Arizona State University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He also holds an MBA with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Colorado.
Patrick Gouffran: Executive Vice President, Corporate Secretary & Investor Relations - Paris
As Corporate Secretary, Patrick Gouffran ensures the integrity of the governance framework, the compliance with the statutory and regulatory requirements of listed companies, and implements decisions made by the Board of Directors. He is interacting with the company’s shareholders.
Patrick oversees also investor relations for Axway and is responsible for maintaining a relationship with financial institutions that provide funding for applications. In this role, Patrick also oversees technical operations in relation to stock market status including liquidity contracts and share performance and is in charge of financial reporting.
Patrick has more than 20 years of experience with software companies, communications and marketing. He previously held management roles at IT services and software entities. He joined the Sopra Group in 1988 as director of R&D for Human Resources solutions, and then worked in the Sopra Group's Banking Software Development Department. He joined Axway in 2002 to manage its banking offering, played a critical role with the spin-off from Sopra Group in 2011 and then, was made corporate secretary when the company was listed on the stock exchange. He began his career at an IT consulting firm.
Patrick is a graduate of the ENSAE (Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique).
Paul Heilbronner: Executive Vice President, Global Human Resources - Phoenix & Paris
As Executive Vice President of Global Human Resources, Paul is responsible for all global HR functions. In alignment with Axway's strategic leadership, Paul facilitates HR policy to support operational needs, and in particular, company recruitment, talent development, compensation philosophy and governance, and branding Axway as an employer on a global level.
Paul joined Axway in 2012 as Senior Vice President of HR for Europe and Asia. He has contributed to Axway's growth by aligning Human Resources as a strategic partner to the business functions. Paul has been a leader on the integration teams during acquisitions by deploying his strategy for growth and innovation for the global digital market. He has also implemented new HR tools reflecting Axway values for training and team organizational changes globally.
Before joining Axway, Paul held various HR positions having an international focus in industrial, retail, and software environments. Paul has expertise in the management of HR teams, policy creation and implementation, employee career and skills development, and employer-employee relations. He is an advocate in individual contribution and alignment to company performance and the partnership between Human Resource and Operations.
Paul holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Paris in Human Resources. He is a long-time competitive field hockey player, a lover of cuff links, and fervent supporter of the Paris Saint Germain soccer team.
Joël Depernet: Executive Vice President, Global R&D - Paris
As the Executive Vice President of Global Research & Development for Axway, Joël is responsible for developing and sustaining all of Axway’s products and platforms. In this role, he oversees an R&D team across multiple centers in the U.S., Asia and Europe.
With more than 18 years of IT and development experience, Joël brings extensive experience in the timely delivery of high quality enterprise software products. He has proven success in leading the development of products from concept to operational readiness with Tier1 customers in multiple industries (Automotive, Aerospace, High Tech). In addition, Joël has experience with organization of activities between worldwide sites with unified processes and leadership on the definition of product strategy (lifecyle, review of investment priorities and architecture convergence).
Prior to joining Axway, Joël held various executive roles in product development, research and spent more than eight years in managing R&D teams. During his tenure with Dassault Systèmes then Cegedim, Joël developed deep expertise in complex enterprise software development along with strong knowledge base in technology innovation and new business territories. He became CTO of Cegedim Insurance and member of its Executive Committee.
Joël’s past experiences and attention to innovation and quality plays a key role in his management of the Axway product offerings that combine reliability, innovation, performances and security.
Joël holds an engineering degree from Ecole Centrale Lyon.
Nick Ferrante: Executive Vice President, Global Sales - Atlanta
As Executive Vice President, Global Sales, Nick leads Axway’s global sales, pre-sales and Business Development teams. In this role, he is responsible for developing strategic and tactical plans to drive higher revenues and optimize the distribution network.
With many years’ management experience in various technology sectors, Nick brings extensive expertise in sales management for On Premise and Cloud solutions and Key Account business development to Axway. He has a strong track record of success across a broad range of technologies, including computer hardware, applications, software and professional services. In addition, Nick has 10 years of experience in Axway’s market segment, where he has demonstrated his ability to lead high-performing teams, grow revenues, build loyal customer relationships and work effectively across organizational boundaries.
Prior to joining Axway, Nick was Director, Worldwide Sales for IBM Business Solutions, where he oversaw a significant portfolio that included B2B integration, B2B cloud services, managed file transfer and integration solutions. Prior to this, Nick was Vice President, Sales at Sterling Commerce. In this role he was responsible for sales of all of Sterling products and services in North America in the financial services, communications, media and entertainment sectors. He previously ran operations for a Business Unit at Yahoo!
Nick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Hofstra University.
Scott Hausman: Executive Vice President, Corporate Development - Atlanta
As Executive Vice President of Corporate Development for Axway, Scott Hausman is responsible for complementing company organic growth through acquisitions. He develops and executes the acquisition strategy to continue to expand the Axway position all over the world. Through his efforts, he ensures the company leverages the combined strengths of its organic and acquired technologies, as recently with Vordel acquisition in API technology.
Since 2003 at Axway, he has been instrumental in developing operations that allowed the company to successfully expand in the U.S. market. This included key wins with large supply chain and financial customers. He also played an integral role in the acquisition of Cyclone Commerce and Tumbleweed Communications, and later championed the spin-off of Axway from the parent company Sopra Group. Prior to Axway, Scott held roles leading client engagements with Accenture’s strategic services practice and as executive vice president of international operations and corporate development with Viewlocity.
Scott has deep expertise in mergers and acquisitions and new business partnerships. His ability to manage many projects and operations internationally contributes to Axway’s successful software business model.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Kansas and an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
Roland Royer: Executive Vice President, Global Customer Services - Phoenix
As the Executive Vice President of Global Customer Services at Axway, Roland brings more than 15 years in an executive position within Axway managing enterprise software implementation and support. In his current role, Roland oversees education, professional services, managed services, cloud delivery and customer support. Roland has successfully promoted a culture of absolute customer focus and success while at Axway.
His experiences as a project director, overseeing project management and services operations have given him the key qualities to continuously serve Axway’s clients. He was instrumental in the structuring and reorganizing of the support services offerings, leveraging local and offshore resources in a complete “follow the sun” process. Overseeing the teams’ dedication to customer services and support, he is an expert at developing the ability to champion change, foster innovation, standardize best practices and maximize operational efficiencies across all services and engineering groups. He has also facilitated the company’s growth and provided alignment within the company following each acquisition.
Roland holds a degree from the DEA of Artificial Intelligence in Paris. Roland resides in Phoenix, Arizona.
