Technological challenges resulting from rapid international expansion
Since 1994, FM Logistic developed an international expansion strategy to target new markets including Asia, Russia and Brazil. With the resulting expansion increasing processing volumes to more than 34,000 business interactions per day across 300 partners and customers, FM Logistic needed to replace its existing information system, which would not have been able to effectively manage the increased data volumes. In order to transfer large files securely to all of these locations, as well as centrally administer and monitor its distributed data-transport architecture, FM Logistic deployed Axway 5 Suite to support growth by unifying the company's B2B and Managed File Transfer infrastructure. The solution provides optimized controls, security and data flow management, both internally and with partners and clients, by automatically integrating close to 30 applications spread across 12 countries.
