Daniel Gainey
Manager IT Operations
Major League Baseball

Daniel Gainey is the Manager of IT Operations for Major League Baseball. Over his 20 years, he has taken MLB from seven servers supporting nine applications to 150 core applications communicating over a 40-site WAN. He has overseen technology operations for eight World Series, nine All-Star Games, and three World Baseball Classics. He is a founding member of the MLB IT Change Advisory Board, and he owned the Security Process and co-owned the Architecture Process for the MLB IT Transformation Project. He is a graduate of Villanova University, where he also earned a Masters Certificate in Business and Law of Sports.

Kevin de Smidt
VP EFSS Product Line

Kevin de Smidt is the VP, Product Line, Enterprise File Sync and Share (EFSS) and joined Axway as part of the acquisition of Syncplicity. Kevin is responsible for defining the EFSS (Syncplicity) product strategy and roadmap at Axway and for continuing to deliver compelling solutions to the most demanding enterprise customers. Before joining Axway, Kevin has developed 20 years of enterprise software product management experience, most of that time working at Oracle in various product management roles. He joined Syncplicity just over 4 years ago to help the company transition to focus on large global enterprise customers and morph the product feature set to provide an enterprise-grade EFSS solution.
