Just as hospitals and health care professionals are implementing and measuring use of their electronic health records (EHR), the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published draft rules outlining the next more comprehensive set of measures for EHR Systems. Stage 2 draft rules were published the first week of March and, when finalized will impact EHR vendors and electronic patient records, increasing functionality needed to be federally certified. It will also impact hospitals and health care professionals who are or are planning to take advantage of the EHR implementation/upgrade incentives. The purpose of this webinar is to provide an overview of the draft rules, changes to certification requirements and “meaningful use” measures and tips on how to keep the federal funding flowing.
If your organization is an EHR vendor, a hospital, a health care professional or an entity that directly or indirectly gains from these federal incentives, it’s worth your while to listen in to this free webinar sponsored by Axway, Inc. and Apgar & Associates, LLC.
