Experian’s North American databases have more than 65 terabytes of data spinning, including credit information on approximately 215 million U.S. citizens and 15 million businesses, as well as demographic data on 110 million households in the United States. Because this information is typically sensitive personal and financial data, Experian is a natural target for hackers and identity thieves.  To safeguard data and address other file transfer issues, Experian’s team set out to define a new MFT strategy for the company.  The result was Project Shield, a highly scalable, Internet-facing, multi-tier MFT infrastructure based on Axway SecureTransport.
