Axway Establishes Global Track & Trace Initiative
Initiative Supports Global Track & Trace and Serialization Projects for Pharmaceutical Industry
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Responding to industry-wide demand to proactively address security in the global pharmaceutical supply chain, Axway has created an initiative to address global serialization and track and trace requirements. Through this initiative, Axway will collaborate with solution providers spanning drug pedigree, track and trace, edge management, packaging-line serialization, EPCIS, implementation and pedigree strategy consulting. Counterfeiting and diversion continue to be a concern for the pharmaceutical industry. The problem is exacerbated by global pressures on the pharmaceutical supply chain. As a result, the industry is proactively implementing procedures, technology and programs to protect consumers from the harmful effects of counterfeit pharmaceuticals. The initiative will help pharmaceutical organizations manage risk associated with dispersed manufacturing facilities and complex distribution networks.
